This
old rosewood house was found on the nearby island of "Koh-Tan".
It was built by the master carpenter who constructed all the
other wooden houses on that island, a first generation
immigrant from Southern China. It was dismantled and
reassembled here. This magnificent craftsman's residence has
been internally redesigned and is an experience in elegance.
A breathtaking entrance atrium leads onto a beautifully
furnished lounge with full-length balcony offering stunning
views over the Southern Isles to the mainland 30 miles away.
It has two main ensuite bedrooms with Jacuzzi in master.
We
have found, over the years that the elegance of this lovely
house has been partly spoiled when children are sleeping in
the lounge so the extension was added to the rear in 2000.
It has two sets of bunk beds downstairs and a flexible
upstairs for younger children in which can be placed cots or
mattresses as required. This extension has its own separate
bathroom making a total of three bathrooms in this suite.
A private
swimming pool built into an elevated promontory directly in
front of the suite, its isolation from all other rooms and
our quality room service make this fine house particularly
suitable for persons requiring absolute privacy.
