Scuba Diving
We have a good liason with "Samui International Divers", a
PADI 5 star facility. They offer a wide range of training
courses and day-dives and we can arrange and book all of
these for you. Their mini-bus collects clients in the
morning, takes them to their boat and returns them in the
evening. We are currently outfitting our own fast dive-boat
and it is our intention to use this for experienced divers,
utilising "Samui International Divers'" divemaster and
equipment but getting rid of the need for bus transfers,
(our boat will leave from the Inn), and keeping the quality
of the cuisine Etc. within Laem Set Inn's circle of
excellence.
 Snorkeling
There is a reef 100 metres offshore in front of the Inn
where those who have snorkeled little will be thrilled.
Better coral is to be found at the outer reef about 3
kilometres offshore and there are several boats available to
reach this. There are several other good spots on the way to
and around the Southern Isles where we go for picnic
barbecues. For those who have snorkeled on the Great Barrier
Reef, the Red Sea or other world-class sites it is necessary
to go by boat to Koh Tao, 65 kilometres North of Samui to
find underwater scenery of this class. We have our own
powerboat which is fine for small groups, or can arrange
trips with other companies for individuals at a cost more
suited to the individual pocket, (powerboats are expensive
to run). The season for good snorkeling runs from late march
to November.
